  5. Thank GOD: Please distribute, when we KNOW FOR SURE that he's safely in the hands of rescue, and no longer at the "mercy" of a vindictive father, who is entirely to blame for the entire incident!

Perhaps the threat of prosecution for "child endangerment/child neglect"for his failure to monitor a toddler with ANY companion animal might hasten his willingness to cooperate, and surrender Harrison to the breeder (Penny), as he is contractually obligated to do???!!!

Thank you for your e-mail about Harrison, the Westie pup who is at the Uxbridge/Port Perry Animal Shelter.

I have been in contact with the Shelter, and would like to thank the staff for their professionalism and for the care they provided to Harrison. I have also been in touch with the Township of Uxbridge and concerned citizens in the community as well as monitoring internet postings and e-mails.

It is my understanding that both parties have legal representation and they are working out an agreement that is best for the dog, the breeder, and the family.

At the time of this note, I understand the Shelter will release Harrison to the breeder Thursday.

Again, thank you for your advocacy, for your concern, and for keeping me informed.

    Yours truly,
